PledgeMusic ( www.pledgemusic.com) the leading international direct-to-fan platform will launch in Australia on September 8th
The launch date is timed to coincide with a visit to Australia by Benji Rogers, founder and CEO of PledgeMusic, who is scheduled to speak at Q Music’s BIGSOUND Industry Summit ( www.bigsound.org.au) in Brisbane. Rogers will participate on the event’s About the Future panel and will talk about the evolution of direct-to-fan funding and how artists are now using the PledgeMusic platform to engage their fans in ways that reward both parties.
PledgeMusic has all ready facilitated the funding of its first Australian artist on the platform via a recent campaign for West Australian Emily Barker and The Red Clay Halo. Barker and her team raised in excess of $7000 AUD (£4000 GBP) in 60 days to fund the marketing of their new album Almanac, which is currently being recorded in London.
PledgeMusic has also engaged Mark Muggeridge of Australian consultancy Evil Genius Media to work with Australian artists and their management teams to help them understand how to get the most from their PledgeMusic campaigns.
Muggeridge has also been charged with identifying opportunities that will benefit the Australian music community via the PledgeMusic platform.
Benji Rogers said, “Whilst in Australia recently I was so impressed with how artists down under are taking their music carriers into their own hands and at how forward thinking the music business there seems to be. We really feel that PledgeMusic can be a great option for both signed and unsigned acts in Australia and are ready to lend our support wherever we can.”
