TOKYO POLICE CLUB NEW TOUR & SINGLE

“Champ bounces with frenzied guitar riffs, sweet synths, pitter-patter drum beats and saucer-eyed optimism” 8/10 NME
Following the recent release of their glorious second album Champ, a sold out show at London’s Scala and a triumphant appearance at Latitude, Canada’s spiky young 4 piece Tokyo Police Club have just announced a new headline UK tour for November 2010 and a new single Bambi out 27 Sept.
The album Champ sees Tokyo Police Club combine the tautness and excitement of their first mini album A Lesson in Crime with the thoughtfulness evident on full length debut Elephant Shell. With a visceral bite offset by a sweetly oblique lyricism, it harnesses their restless fizz bomb energy to a pop nous that has always been bubbling under the surface. Incidentally, for fans of the beautiful game, its one of Champ’s highlights, Favourite Colour, that you can currently hear sound tracking the goals round up on this season’s Match of the Day.

The November live dates are as follows:
04 November, Manchester, Ruby Lounge
06 November, Glasgow, King Tuts
08 November, Leeds, Cockpit
09 November, London, Heaven
10 November, Brighton, Audio
Tickets for the tour go on sale this coming Friday, 27th August 2010.
