Savoir Adore, the Brooklyn duo due to release their awaited debut album in August, play at Camden KOKO tonight. With the tough task of performing before Nightbus, Savoir Adore managed to get the room filled with enthusiastic people from the very first note played.
Their sound, filled with haunting, ghostly vocals, violins and gentle guitars immediately won the audience over, who truly enjoyed the set of what is to be one of the most exciting bands of this year.
With their debut album out in couple of weeks, this gig is pretty much a showcase for it. Nevertheless, they still manage to engage with the audience and create a really nice atmosphere.
The highly enjoyable set included tracks such as Bodies, We Talk Like Machines, Early Bird and The Garden.
Definitely one to watch.
Nightbus are up next. If Savoir Adore was energetic, then Nightbus was the RedBull on steroids and cocaine. Their show is one of those memorable ones, destined to be remembered.
Jumping and running all over the place, the singer engaged with the crowd in a true rock n roll fashion by blending with the audience and singing in the crowd! Their music is the kind that gets everyone in the party mood, dancing around like crazy, all pumped up by the incredible, catchy beat. Tracks played include One day, Chasing the Sun, Kick The Paty Out (Crash My Maserati). Another great band that will make it big in the near future.
