Favourite bands: Weirdly, all my favourite upcoming bands split up last year. It was very strange. However, my favourite solo guys and gals would be Roxy Rawson, William Nein, Gideon Conn, Andy MacKay, Elliot Mason and Kit Richardson.

2. Have you ever been to 2000trees before, if so what have been your highlights from previous years?

Alas, never been.

3. Who is your favourite British band of all time?

I’ve been staring at the screen for 10 minutes trying to think which one I’d choose. I’m going to have to pass, its too overwhelming a question.

4. What are your plans for your performance at 2000trees?

To make as exciting, theatrical and entertaining a performance as possible.

5. Which other artists are you and your fans looking forward to seeing, at this year at 2000trees festival?

I remember seeing the Subways in France jumping around the stage, that was fun. They’re also managed by a company called Goo, and that’s always good. Dawn Chorus, yes. Orphans And Vandals, I thought they had split up too, so am excited to see they’re on the bill.

A GENUINE FREAKSHOW

1. 2000trees festival showcases the best in British new music. What are your favourite up and coming British bands or artists at the moment?

Well it certainly does, the line up is ace! There are loads of great new bands in the UK at the moment and one of the upsides of constant touring has been the other bands we’ve seen. In the last few months we’ve been blown away by ‘Vienna Ditto’, ‘Arthur Rigby and the Baskervylles’, ‘Worship’ and most recently by ‘Spring Offensive’.

2. Have you ever been to 2000trees before, if so what have been your highlights from previous years?

Never been!

3. Who is your favourite British band of all time?

I don’t think I have a ‘favourite’… If you forced an answer from me at gunpoint I’d probably say Radiohead.

4. What are your plans for your performance at 2000trees?

Erm, to be totally knackered at the end?! We’re on tour at the moment and people keep coming up to us and saying how intense it is and how tired they are by the time we get to the end of our set! Don’t worry though, it’s not through dancing…

5. Which other artists are you and your fans looking forward to seeing, at this year at 2000trees festival?

Well it looks like a really good line-up, with some of my favourite bands playing so I’m really looking forward to it and hope we can stay for the whole weekend. Especially looking forward to sets from Cats and Cats and Cats, Vessels, 65 Days of Static and Frank Turner.
