Everyone’s favourite new alt-country collective Mt Desolation play The Lexington this Wednesday, 7th July. Long winter evenings in front of pub log-fires sipping Guinness and chatting music would bring out the best in any man. When Jesse Quin and Tim Rice-Oxley got together over a series of nights last autumn talk inevitably turned to their surprising shared passion, country music. Six months down the line (and with a batch of friends in tow including Long Winter’s John Rodrick, Noah & The Whale’s Tom Hobden, Mumford & Sons’ Winston and more) Mt Desolation arrived.
