O.A.R. are returning to the UK to play two sensational shows this summer, at The Garage in London on Friday 11 June and then again two nights later at the Isle of Wight festival, Sunday 13 June. After a phenomenal showing at their first UK date in December at London’s famous ‘Borderline’ venue, that sold out in record time and saw fans queuing round the block in the hope of tickets, the band are hyped and ready to bring their unique sound to a wider UK audience than ever before.
Having also sold out three Madison Square Garden shows, U.S rock band O.A.R. (Of A Revolution) will storm the stages as they set out to give audiences a real taste of their talent in their always electric live performances. Returning to London for their first date at the Relentless Garage, O.A.R. are looking forward to causing their familiar stir with fans in the capital. Having been hand-picked by the Isle of Wight festival promoter after their UK debut, the band will be a highlight of the bill on 13 June performing another very special show. These appearances will lay the perfect foundation for O.A.R. as they warm up to release a superb set of new material in Europe by the end of the year.
With 1.8 million records sold and six studio albums now under their belt, O.A.R. are an established name in American pop and rock music, encompassing a strong mix of soft reggae and passion-ridden blues. Branded by Billboard Magazine with an “infectious spirit sure to please long-time fans and newcomers alike,” O.A.R. are sure to re-wow the UK crowds. A truly stunning live band, O.A.R. have co-headlined gigs with N.E.R.D, The Roots, Talib Kweli, Ziggy Marley and Goo Goo Dolls, as well as supporting shows for Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, and Dave Matthews.
O.A.R.’s track Love Is Worth The Fall appeared on the soundtrack to box office super-smash Twilight while their latest studio album, All Sides debuted at number 13 on Billboard’s Top 200.. Stellar guest appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (NBC), Live with Regis and Kelly (ABC) and Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC), supported their first certified platinum single Shattered’.
Band member and lead vocalist Marc Roberge says: “We are just five friends playing songs we love to play and enjoying every minute of it.”
These five friends will do what they do best as they hit the UK in style for a double whammy of summer musical excitement.
